From what i can see from the pictures, every contestant is wearing white-T, and u are wearing Black? any exception for that? i think it is wise to follow what the organiser have to said.. and attire to be wore during rehearsal or photoshoot. Please Take note of this Organizer. Things like this might give a big deduction of marks.

    Kindly advice.

  7. thanks steph J, i have reason for this. I dont have any "manik" aksesori. this are all silver. I cant waer the T-shirt together with the selampit ( cover of my breast) . thats the way our ancestor wear the outfits before. I know this from my uncles and grandmother.

    For those who support me, thank u soo much. I giving my 110% effort o this competition. I give my best. Every support i received, i reply by saying thank u. May God bless you all.

    Here are the most basic:
    a) Sugu Tinggi Pirak (original)
    b) Rawai Pirak/Enkeraju' (Original)
    c) Lampit Pirak (Original)
    d) Kain Kebat (Original)
    e) Tumpa Tusun Pirak (Original)
    f) Buah Pauh Pirak (Original)
    g) Simpai Pirak (optional) - only man should wear this...

  9. thank u soooo much from the bottom of my heart...to you. no matter who you are, i would like to see you in person.

    first, i was in miserable when i saw my outfit. even my grandma said this the original one. but am mine totally differ from other. is other people out there know that this the orignal set? what if they question me? what should I do? I almost give up..things get worst after first briefing when i didnt wear white T-shirt as organizer told me to do so..i cant wear silver with T-shirt, it looks very awful!

    my kampung in paku undop sri aman, just few kilometers from kalimantan indonesia.this outfit were inherit from my great grandmum. they used this outfit as their wedding "gown"..
    im the 5th generation..the coin are kings edward 1907.

    im so sad. i lack confident right now.
    i dont have manik at all..all silver!

    i need support from elders who expert in this things but unfortunately, i only can contact them through emails where they assist me from there.i dont have any relative here. only my best friend who will be my assistant during that day.

    please come support me on that day and u will see yourself the original iban traditional costume.

    Aku nemu ngepan nuan nya....ngepan nyak amat tusah mai kak dikena enggau tusah mai kak di gigak....nyak alai org diatuk maioh ngenak marik....anyway.....dik mesti nemu tusun atur pakaian nyak......have confident in yourself girl.....but dunt be overconfident.........the most important thing it to showcase our Iban culture....and the costume that you will be wearing on the final day will be alomst the same as Sendi's outfit in PUA the short movie who is a master weaver of Pua Kumbu......

    Dont worry so much...maybe you can brief the organiser by put what ever your elders said into written paper. Then presented to them & the real day you give also to the spectators, let they understand better why you wear Ngepan Iban like that (my 2 cents opinion). Maybe this will alleviate your worry some...
