In anticipation of Kumang and Keling Hornbill Festival 2011, Persatuan Warisan Sarawak is revisiting our tender year of 2009. This is when we first introduced Kuala Lumpur's very own Kumang and Keling Gawai, in conjunction with Gawai Ngiling Tikai.
In the spirit of upholding the tradition, Warisan Sarawak is revisiting the voting drive for our first Kumang and Keling contestants. We are proud to announce the launch of Kumang and Keling Favorite Pioneers, Class of 2009.
This is an online voting drive based on the original participants in 2009, complete with their original photogenic entries. We are taking them on a tour down memory lane and the crowned Favorite Pioneer, both Kumang and Keling will receive RM200 each. The voting will be executed via facebook's like button. The Pioneers are encouraged to promote this voting drive to their friends and families.

The outcome of this voting campaign will not be considered in the marking system of Kumang and Keling Hornbill Festival 2011. The participation of Pioneers in this voting drive does not affect their eligibility to participate in the upcoming Kumang and Keling Hornbill Festival 2011.
